Community Welding Day in Springfield Missouri

In Springfield, Missouri, the Ozarks Technical Community College is hosting a Community Welding Day as a fundraiser for the March of Dimes. Citizens can bring in all sorts of items to the Welding Lab and have students repair them including those made of aluminum.

Boat repairs, wheelbarrows, barbeque grills, window frames and much more can be brought in for the students to repair. Community Welding Day is a chance for students to pay it forward and get hands on experience in their future professions.

At a time when the economy is faltering, unemployment is higher than its been in 30 years and charitable organizations are having a hard time collecting cash, it’s still good to know that the spirit of giving is still alive.
